What is the Smash?

The smash is the most powerful shot in padel, hit overhead with the goal of finishing the point. Can be hit flat for power or with spin for tricky bounces.

When to Hit the Smash

When you receive a short, high ball and want to end the point.

How to Hit the Smash

    Position yourself under the ball
  2. 2
    Turn sideways with non-dominant hand pointing at ball
  3. 3
    Bring racket back behind your head
  4. 4
    Extend up and through the ball at highest point
  5. 5
    Follow through down and across your body
